GETTING TO THE ISLAND
If traveling by air, please book your flights as early as possible, as prices can skyrocket during the summer months. Most of the airlines servicing Nantucket will post flights 8-10 months in advance. We recommend booking flights ASAP.
BY AIR
Flying directly to Nantucket is the fastest, most convenient option. It is worth noting that Nantucket, “The Grey Lady,” is notorious for its unpredictable and quick-changing weather patterns. Flights can be easily impacted by things like wind and fog.
CAPE AIR
Cape Air/Nantucket Air provides year-round service from ACK to Boston, MA (BOS), New York City (JFK), Hyannis MA (HYA), New Bedford, MA (EWB) and Martha’s Vineyard (MVY).
JETBLUE
Jet Blue provides seasonal service from ACK to Boston, MA (BOS), Washington-National (DCA), and New York City (JFK, LGA, HPN).
DELTA
Delta Airlines provides seasonal service from ACK to New York City (JFK & LGA).
UNITED AIRLINES
United Airlines provides seasonal service from ACK to Newark, NJ (EWR) and Washington-Dulles (IAD).
AMERICAN
American provides seasonal service from ACK to Washington - National (DCA), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago O'Hare (ORD), and Philadelphia, PA (PHL).
TRADEWIND
Tradewind Aviation provides seasonal service from ACK to White Plains, NY (HPN) and Teterboro, NJ (TEB).
BY SEA
The most common and most reliable way to get on island is to take one of the ferries that leave from Hyannis and New Bedford. We recommend booking round-trip ferry tickets in Jan-March, as they can sell out.

Fast ferry only (1 hour). Departs regularly from Hyannis to Nantucket Harbor.
STEAMSHIP
Departs regularly from Hyannis to Nantucket Harbor. You may choose to take the fast ferry (1 hour and recommended) or the traditional (vehicle/freight) ferry (2.5 hours).
SEASTREAK
Fast ferry only (1 hour 40 mins). Departs regularly from New Bedford to Nantucket Harbor.
FREEDOM CRUISE LINE
Fast ferry only (1 hour 20 mins). Departs daily from Harwich to Nantucket Harbor.
